The new story takes place in the world after Kings Field 1, 2 and 3. The protagonist goes deep inside a holy labyrinth, fights against monsters with his sword and magic spells, and solves puzzles to unveil the mystery. Only players who have cleared both stories will have a chance to witness the real ending. People are becoming nervous due to a recent series of extraordinary natural phenomena. The action you have taken in the previous title will affect the development of the story. You can also import game clear data of “King's Field Additional 1” to interact and change the storyline. The exciting dynamic battles are still in place for players to enjoy rhythmic attack and defense against the monsters. Player will become the son of the leader of the investigation team, and set his foot in the underground labyrinth to uncover the truth behind his father’s death. An investigation team is therefore sent down to the closed labyrinth, but no one returns alive. People are worried that the unusual disaster occurred in this land is a sign of the resurrection of the king.
The relic village where all the troubles have taken place, is now hit by a strong earthquake. More than ten years have passed since the king of Recristoria has died.
